The Child Fitness Expert, Curt Hinson, Ph.D.

hinson_about.gifCurt Hinson, Ph.D., founder of PlayFit Education, Inc, taught at the elementary school level for 16 years. In addition, he has taught part-time at the university level for 13 years. His daily experiences on the elementary school playground led him to create the Trouble-Free Playground program, currently being implemented in schools in all 50 states.

Curt is the author of three books, Fitness for Children; Games Kids Should Play at Recess; and 6-Steps to a Trouble-Free Playground. In addition, Curt has published over 50 articles related to teaching and has made presentations in 49 states. His practical, hands-on teaching techniques, along with his enthusiasm, make him one of the most dynamic educators in the country. Curt is a former National Association for Sport & Physical Education Teacher of the Year.

Curt holds a B.S. degree in Health & PE from West Virginia Wesleyan College; a Master's of Education degree from Widener University; and a PhD in Kinesiology from Temple University.
